Awards and Challenges

The Quote Challenge

So, I was nominated by 2 amazingly awesome bloggers for this challenge. I know it’s a three days challenge, but I can do just the day 1 as I am falling short of time, which is evident from the lack of comments, replies and liking. I am super busy in working for the grand changes on my blog and also, my day-to-day life needs some attention, too, apologies, people, apologies.

The nominators were: Unbroken Reverie and My Valiant Soul. Do check out their blogs for fresh readings!

There’s no point in sharing the rules as I am not going to follow any (Yep! I am a rebel).

I will be sharing just one quote that has been (for me) the most beautiful: Life is a climb, but the view is great.

IMG_20160730_155558

I came across this line when I was watching the movie: Hannah Montana: The Movie. I felt so deeply influenced by this one line. I cannot describe in words.

Same goes for the song The Climb by Miley Cyrus. I can relate to this song (along with many others) any day. This song feels like a flashback and future of my life. Thousand memories and experiences that I have gone through and will go, swim in my mind; making me both sad and strong. I have been a stupid and I have done the most stupid stuffs in past that still influence me, a lot. But I… I gotta keep trying. Gotta keep my head hell high.

Ain’t about how fast I get there
Ain’t about what’s waiting on the other side
It’s the climb

It’s the journey that matters, isn’t it? The journey that will knock you down, break you, struggles, chances; there’s always going to be a battle no matter where you are.

But, here’s the thing, right? Those hardships are going to mould you in a person that you will cherish throughout the life. Those who will know hear your stories, will get inspired by you.  You will be a stronger, confident and better version of yourself, who will grow each and every day in to a beautiful soul.

Whenever you feel like giving up, remember that something mesmerizing-ly beautiful awaits for you. Keep climbing!

Update on Changes:

Most of the aspects are almost finalized. I am working on the execution and it is going great! On 31 July, 2016, you will see a newly revamped Eloraquence. There is going to be major change in the layout and the schedule of publishing posts.

Also, get ready! My old posts will be bombarding your Reader’s feed and the reason is: THERE ARE LOT OF MISTAKES IN THEM! So, I will be reviewing, changing and correcting a lot.

And coming days, there will be posts about only the nominations for challenges and awards. Because, as I have mentioned, I am working on the changes so that from next month I can publish quality posts rather than the quantity of posts. So, I have little or no time at all to peacefully work on any post. And I want to give my whole heart, soul, sparkle and glitters in each of my post, which isn’t possible with the time I get. Ergo, I will be channelizing all the time and efforts for the big change.

Awards and Challenges

Black Cat, Blue Sea

I just had to do this because the questions were more than tempting to answer. (I love QA, I love QA!)

Another day, another award! Yayy….!

IMG_20160730_155610

So, I was nominated by Your Average Peahead (yet again) for the Black Cat, Blue Sea Award. (What does that even mean?) But, it had questions (interesting ones) and I wanted to answer.

Before we begin, let me tell you, even though she has been inactive for a while, Anya’s previous posts are great stress busters. Go, go, check her blog (after reading this post of course xD).

Let’s get started, shall we?

The rules are very much simple:

  • Anybody nominated can nominate up to seven other bloggers.
  • Anybody nominated answers three questions. The questions you ask while nominating can be any three questions. If any of the questions asked are offending or simply do not want to be answered, the nominee does not have to answer them to earn the award.

Answers to the Questions:

1. Why did you start blogging and how has it been so far?

Why did I start blogging? Because I wanted to!

It all started with me again wasting my holidays (like always). So to save the vacations from getting wasted again, I asked my friend to formulate possible rescue mission. One of the many options was: blogging. I shrugged off the idea thinking, “”Blogging and me? Nahh” But, in next few days I came across WordPress many times. So, I decided to start a blog through which I can reach many and change (even if only few of them) their lives for good. For more detailed descriptions, you can check out the post Blogger Recognition Award.

The journey with Eloraquence and its amazing readers has been A-W-E-S-O-M-E. Even if my day has been not so good, the comments, the support, care, love and loyalty of the readers brighten ups my day. I want to continue this journey of blogging till the end day. I guess, words can never define what it means to be here. I just want to say what I have said before; I truly, with my whole heart and soul, appreciate you all.

2. Tough choice, I know but, which would you rather prefer- Reading or writing. Why? (5 marks.)

You know? By asking this question, you have just reserved a special place in hell where you will be caged in a glass box and there will be extra cheese pizzas outside. You can see it, watch it and also smell it, but you won’t get to eat it. Enjoy!

Uhh… Reading or writing? Umm… Uhh.. Which one? *curses silently* Damn you, Anya!

And the Phoenix died, thinking for her rest of the life, “Reading or writing?”

Writing because after doing Akad Bakad Bambay Bo, I landed up on writing, happy? (I need 5 Silk for this one.)

Those who don’t know, Akad Bakad Bambay Bo is an Indian rhyme used to decide what to choose between many options available. This rhyme has been very helpful at times when I was stuck between vanilla and strawberry, MCQ in exams, Tom&Jerry or Mickey Mouse, white top or blue top, to reply a text or not to reply, etc. You get it? Good.

3. What’s your greatest strength and what’s your gravest weakness?

Greatest strength: I can read a book in one day flat. The only book that took me time to read was Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows. But in my defence, at that time I was going to have my 10th grade exams in less than a week. Still, I managed to finish the book in three days.

Also, I forget eating, drinking, sleeping and attending the nature’s call when I am reading. Yes, you can cheer for my dedication.

Gravest Weakness: Oh! I know. I cannot control myself from cheering for Team India in a cricket match. I would be sitting on a couch but I will shout like I am in a stadium. I just cannot stop myself for shouting out for Team India. I become so vulnerable that I wouldn’t be bothered by my surrounding and I let the craziest side of me out.

My Questions:

1. What is the silliest funny memory from your childhood?

2. If you have a day to enjoy everything at Mall for free, at which section you’re most likely to be?

3. You wake up and you find that the world has turned into your favorite movie/novel fantasy. What would it be and why?

Finally, the Nominees:

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Stories From My Diary

The Inked Autist

Advaita Inamdar

Petra Omoregie Caroline

Perfect Reverie

My Valiant Soul

I hope you all do the Award as well. Have a great time doing the post!

Update: There’s something that I want to share with you all. I will be posting with a day’s gap in between for this month. There’s something I am working on for the blog. By the end of the month I let you know. There’s going to be many changes happening. So, here’s another chance for you all to make any suggestions or feedback regarding any aspect of the blog. Either comment below or you can send in the suggestions through Contact page.

I have realized that my blog is in a transition phase. And without getting hasty and hard on myself, I should work on the betterment of the blog and quality of the content. Because better the content, more the readers will enjoy.

Have a great week ahead!

Awards and Challenges

Liebstar Award

I absolutely love this one. Because it is so fun to do! Also, I love answering questions (Until and unless it doesn’t get intimately personal).

IMG_20160730_155652

Hey! Everyone!

This is my… Umm.. Wait.. Second or third? Who was the one nominated me for the last time? Second?

Oh yes! This is my third Liebstar Award! Yayyy! Three cheers! Three Times Tap Dance! And all the things three!

I was nominated by Urvashi Sharma. Thank you so much, Urvashi. This one never gets out of fun. It is always exciting to do. xD

Before I begin, I really want to thank you all for all the love, support, positives vibes and well wishes you all have been showering on me since last post. A big, fat, full of sugars and calories, heartfelt gratitude to you all, a huge bow in front of you amazingly supportive people, thank you so much. Much love!

Okay, now let’s open the rule book of Liebstar Award:

  1. Acknowledge the blogger who nominated you.
  2. Answer the 11 questions which are asked to you.
  3. Share 11 random facts about yourself
  4. Nominate 5-11 bloggers who have less than 200 followers.
  5. Inform the nominees about the nomination.
  6. Ask your own 11 questions to the nominees.

Now, the rules are clear, so let’s get started, shall we?

  • Who was the inspiration behind your blog ?

Primary reason to spread inspiration and positive vibes and secondary was to explore the world. I have already met so many people from around the world, learning about their journey, the places, the different perspectives towards and what not! And the subsidiary idea was to make people laugh by my successful humor! Yeah I know there was a time I had said ‘highly failed humor’, but going through the response by so many beautiful people I have finally gained confidence on my *flicks her hair* so funny sense of humor!

  • Your favorite color and why ?

I don’t have a particular favorite color! It just keeps changing! My very first one was orange and then came red, blue, white, lavender…. So, my scenario of favorite color is something bright and light. And the reason, well, may be it is because of my optimistic nature, that’s why I like bright yet light colors. Because duh! I always see the bright side of a situation.

  • What is the aim of your life ?

I had been asked this before. And my answer won’t change a bit. To be successful, famous, rich writer, blogger and motivational speaker, to meet IISuperwomanII, travel the world. Make my parents proud of me.

  • Who is your favorite blogger ?

Many!!!!! Your Average Peadhead, Roberta Pimentel, Petra Omoregie Caroline, Rekha, The Inked Autist, SimpleDimple and many many more whose work I enjoy reading. I can remember only the named ones right now, but trust me when I say this: You all are my favorite and I love the amazing work done by each one of you.

  • Describe your ideal location .

Near a beach with awesome people and food, has a scenic beauty that takes me near to the nature. Where I can have fun and also, introspect about life. Yeah, pretty much that’s it.

  • What is something you can’t stay without ?

Uh… Difficult to think about something I cannot stay without, my favorite people? Yes, my favorite people who don’t remember me at times, finds it difficult to understand me, but very easy to misunderstand me. Yet, I guess I cannot go without them. Yes, I need them even though I hate them. (I hate you like I love you)

  • Which season excites you the most ?

I would have answered monsoon. But from past few years, it’s been winter for one and only reason. There’s no lizard in winters. I don’t have to go out with the fear that a reptile will be waiting for me anywhere on a wall.

No, it is a tie between monsoon and winters. I cannot betray my first love. Loyalty matters, always.

  • Describe one incident that brought a change to you .

An incident that I have mentioned quite a lot of time but never really went in to details. And I will not today, too. Some time ago, I ran into issues with my closest friends. The usual me would have reacted in a emotional way; crying and questioning my life. But, that particular incident brought a sudden trill and zest in me to excel. Though, I am still the very much the same, but there’s a positive difference in me that I want to grow for better.

I have already seen some of the results; the blog is one of them.

  • If you had to make a wish what it would be ?

Humans with wings, letter from Hogwarts, perfect selfie in one attempt, food downloaded from internet, making my dreams come true, what? Do you want a list here?

No wait. I know what it would be. Dude, I want a Genie with unlimited wishes plan. Who can ever settle for three or even one wish, eh?

  • Fire or water

Water, water, water, because rain, sea, waterfall, juice, snow… Everything water.

  • Any advice you would like to share ?

Be whatsoever and whosoever you want to be. But, be a good one; morally, spiritually and with pure soul.

11 Random Facts About Me:

  • I am a dry fruits addict. If I say I like Diary Milk Fruit&Nuts, it’s not the chocolate; it is the dry fruits because of which I like it. My desire for Indian sweets reduces by half, if I know that it does not have dry fruits. Except for other fair few sweets which can be excused.
  • I like changes. Because it brings new-ish-ness in the day. Ever since I made this blog, I have the temptation 50 times a day to change the theme of the blog. But I don’t do it, because if I do, you won’t be able to read my blogs, ever.
  • I do not know what it is with babies. I always have a good bonding with each and every one of whom I meet.
  • I want to be a fitness freak. I like everything about being fit; the freshness, the sorted life, the smooth flow and healthy body. But my procrastination and laziness always overtake my desire to be a fitness freak. I am more like longing fitness freak.
  • I like answering a lot, of course, as I have mentioned. Even, I wanted to do a Q&A with you all but then I thought, “Pfffttt.. Who would want to know about me or my views?” If this would have been the case, my comment section and mails would have been flooded with questions.
  • I like to keep my surroundings clean and organised. I just cannot bear the sight of disorganization. This is why my sisters always hear from me why is it here? Keep it on its place, already. Don’t you have any manners?
  • I am hardcore cricket fan. I have been watching matches every since I didn’t even know when it’s a four or six.
  • I have a hard time catching up with latest songs and movies unless I have genuine interest in it. And of course, that ‘genuine interest’ comes in when someone introduces me to the latest fun. By the time, I know about it, it is already old news.
  • I am still a kid who drinks Bournvita milk. Tea? Coffee? Cappuccino? What’s that?
  • I don’t like chips, kurkure, soft drinks. In fact, I strongly do not prefer any edible thing processed. While, many of you spent your childhood slurping Maggi every day, I on other hand, have just recently started eating Maggi. That too very rarely and in a medium amount.
  • By the last 2 points, you can deduce that I am from Jupiter. Yes, I don’t belong to planet Earth because I am not a junkie who loves beverages.
  • Today, after long time, I played badminton with my sister.

So, that is it; Liebstar Award and it was fun to do, again!

I know, I know, I have to nominate bloggers. But, the thing is I cannot even if I want to because of the eye problem I had discussed with you all in last post. I really am sorry, guys, apologies.

Also, I am sorry I have not replied to your comments yet. You see I am strictly not allowed to use smartphone and laptop. But, trust me, within few days we all will be having a healthy discussion, again. I have this hunch that I will be fine soon.

Again, thank you all for being so supportive. It really means a lot. Thank you. :’D

Awards and Challenges

Happiness Tag

Awards and awards all the way….

I was nominated by two most talented, friendly and awesome persons whom I am glad to meet through blogging. Unnati (the face behind Stories From My Diary) and Anya (the 70% human and 30% unicorn behind Your Average Peahead).

If you want to read some heart touching, full of emotions creations check out Unnati’s blog. She portrays various emotions through her words like a pro.

And if you are looking for rib tickling, amusingly comical write ups, do check out Anya’s blog. While I am yet to find my funny bone, Anya has all 206 of them built with humor rather than calcium.

IMG_20160730_155621

I liked the idea of talking about what makes us happy and spreading happiness. Though, it took me ages to publish a post about it. As matter of fact and out for everyone to see, I haven’t published anything since the Jurassic Age. I will talk about it in the end of this post and also about some decisions I have made of coming month.

So, the rule book of The Happiness Tag says,

  • Name 5 things that make you happy.
  • Name 5 songs that make you happy.
  • Nominate 5 bloggers to continue the tag.

5 Things That Make Me Happy

  • Travelling

Refer to getting posted every 2-3 years in the beginning of my life, I have always liked the idea of travelling and living in different places. Exploring is one of my really passionate dreams.

  • Eating

Not a pro foodie, but there are certain things that I absolutely love eating and gives me immense happiness. Ice cream, popcorn, white chocolate, fruits (mangoes, pineapple, watermelon leading the list) and Indian fast food (Because spice is my bae).

  • Reading and Writing

Obvious, isn’t it? That’s the reason (actually one of the many reasons) I started the blog. I treasure my thoughts as well as I get to read amazing contents written by really awesome people around the world.

  • Conversations

Not just any conversation, conversation with dept of ocean and meaningful insights, conversations that hovers your mind even after hours later the conversation is over, conversation that stimulates the soul. I may not be all talkative in person. But if you do manage to open my soul up and get me in flow, we can talk about anything and everything.

  • Helping

It is in the core of my nature. It is integrated part of my characteristics. The satisfaction and the happiness that I get helping out someone is priceless.

5 Songs That Make Me Happy

(I will have to check my playlist for this one. Hold on, just a minute. Uh! Here’s the first one)

  • Here’s To Never Growing Up – Avril Lavigne

Because growing up? Nahh.. I will remain kid at heart forever and ever. (I am a kid trapped in an adult body. Shhh… Do not tell anyone, ‘kay?)

  • Replay – Sean Kingston and Iyaz

I like its music and the singer’s voice. And also, I liked the creative way in which the song is written.

  • Roar – Katy Perry

Because I can relate to this song any day, even if I will be 70 someday, playing basketball on a wheelchair, this is the song that will be forever bae.

  • Heal The World – Michael Jackson

I deeply feel that this song is my purpose in life, period.

  • Who Says – Selena Gomez

This song is the ideology that I stand by and will do so throughout my life and after. You are beautiful soul, no matter what others say.

Lastly, 5 Nominees

(I am going to nominate 5 recent followers who, despite the fact that I have not posted anything since last couple of days, were generous enough to follow my blog. Thank You. I truly mean it.)

~***~

Hello, everyone!

Firstly, I would like to apologize for not posting since past 4 days, apologies. My days were filled with dark, drizzling clouds (that led to heavy floods and now I am sitting on a tree with laptop, typing), so I couldn’t come up with any ideas to write about. Even if I did, my mind was not particularly cooperating with me. Pardon me, please.

Even though I didn’t post anything, many of you checked out my previous posts, liking and commenting on it. Those notifications really cheered me up. Thank you so much. You guys are truly amazing. I am glad to have you all around.

Today’s the last day of the month June. May be you know or maybe you don’t know, I had promised myself in the beginning of the month that I will post every day this month. And the result, 23 out of 30 days, I published a post on my blog. Good enough, huh? That’s like almost 75% (something that I haven’t scored ever since I went to college). Cheers to the Phoenix!

Also, I have added few widgets to the sidebar of my blog. I would like to know about your opinions on it. Does it look good? Or should I make few more changes?

And… What else? What else? What else?

Oh, yes! Tomorrow a new month is going to begin and I have made few more decisions on the same. Firstly, I will be keeping my promise and I will try to score well than what I achieved this month. Secondly, this month I am going to doodle and rant more, something that I haven’t done much on my blog.

If you guys have any suggestions and feedback regarding my write ups, posts, blog layout, anything and everything, do let me know about it. A warm welcome always awaits for such ideas. You can either contact me or comment below.

Apologies again, for not posting from last 4 days.

Again, thank you so much everyone for all the love and support.

P.S. – Please, ignore my typos. Generally, I triple check my posts before publishing them, still there are some mistakes that creep in. I am really tired today, so I am not even proofreading today, apologies.

Mistakes corrected! xD

Update: Also, I would like to thank Stories From My Diary and Zoe for nominating as well. They had nominated me after I did this post. Story behind My Blog

My blogging story is not similar to those “born with the talent of having a way with words, inclination towards ink and quill and so I took up blogging.” To be honest, I had never thought about it. Growing up, only thing that I was passionate about was – let’s go to school and have fun, let’s go to park with friends and have fun, let’s roam around in the Naval Base and have fun, let’s have a mini picnic and have fun, let’s skate, play badminton, hide and seek and have fun. Having fun – was all I thought about while growing up. (In short, I was a carefree, nonchalant brat who didn’t have any idea about her future.)

It was in grade 9, when I, for the first time, read a novel. My sister bought it from Pune, where she had gone for Nationals. (That novel could have easily gained A certificate from CBFC, had it been a movie. My sister bought it for the sole reason that it had a nice, girlish cover.) I realized that I actually enjoy reading. I started reading more and more books. I didn’t take notice of it back then, but today I realize that, I ,naturally, had grown a fondness for writing and reading. While taking English exams, the essay questions were really enjoyed by me. In grade 10, I wrote my first poem – My Unhealthy Story. That was when I realized, that I also love writing. After that, I wrote various poems for my friends’ birthday and other occasions.

But, I didn’t have any serious thoughts about reading and writing. Back then, they were more of a hobby for me than passion.

Last year, when I was on my summer vacation, I asked one of my friends about what can I do this vacation so as to be productive. Among the many options, blogging was also suggested by her. At that time I shrugged off the idea thinking, “Blogging and me? Nahhhh!” But few days later, I came across WordPress and I thought about giving it a shot.

For many, many days, I was struck with the questions that were continuously hovering over my mind. “What would be my blog about? What should I name it? The tagline? The theme? And what about the header image?” I did get answer to all the questions, but it was already months since I made my account on WordPress. So, as a result, I wasn’t excited anymore about blogging. (All hail the Goddess of Procrastination and Laziness.) My college reopened, so the thought about blogging was further pushed away.

This New Year, I made a list of resolutions; blogging was one of them. Couple of months back, I ran into few issues with my closest friends. Issues that affected me so much… Let’s not talk about them. Anyways, whatever happened, that built-in me a strong urgency to write, to excel and to be the best version of me. Without any further delay, as soon as I was freed from my exams, I started a lot of research and googling for an appropriate name for my blog. After googling for days, I came up with the name Eloraquence, which is a portmanteau of the words – Aurora and Eloquence, which gives the meaning ‘a fluent writing to influence a new beginning in one’s life’.

As I have mentioned in my previous posts, that after creating the blog, for 15 continuous days, my blog was empty. What happened with my previous blog, same was happening with this one. On 15th day, few more things happen which brought a sudden thrill in me to write. That was the day; I published my first post Yes! I’ve made mistakes. Since then, this phoenix has been on the journey of exploring and inspiring. (Sounds like my tagline, isn’t it? Changed on 31 July, 2016)

I have always been a helping hand. I enjoyed helping out others. It gives me immense satisfaction and happiness. So, that is why the central idea of my blog is to inspire and subsidiary idea is to spread happiness by my highly failed humor. (Please, for once, say that this *puppy face phoenix* made you laugh… Or smile?)

Advice for Other Bloggers

I have already stupefied you all with my story. (See, what I did there? You noticed, right? That Harry Potter spell?? No? Ok. Bye. Goes in the corner of the room and yells “Why there aren’t enough Harry Potter fans in this world!!!!”) So, I am not going to give any long and in-depth analysed advice. My only advice would be that, enjoy blogging, get engaged with other bloggers (you do want to get noticed, don’t you?) and be real with your writings. Your writings should reflect the real you; that way you will connect with your readers better.

So, that’s all from your loving, beautiful, inspiring, mesmerizing, humorous, self -proclaimed writer, doodle artist, photographer, lazy, nonchalant, procrastinator, narcissistic Phoenix. I hope you all had/will have/are having an amazing day (depending upon which part of the world you reside).

P.S. – Those who don’t know, CBCF is the board which gives a certificate to a film based on its content. ‘A’ certificate indicates that the movie contains adult scenes, not fit for human beings less than 18 years of age. Yep! I read that kind of novel, unintentionally, at the age of 14. And, also, I won’t able to link the nominees in this post as the whole post took more time than usual and I have other priorities screaming for my attention. So, I will be commenting on your blog posts about the nomination, soon. I hope you all will not mind. Thank you!! You are a really generous person. Love ya!

True, isn’t it? Whatever we do; we do so, solely for the reason – happiness, every action, every deed only for happiness; our happiness, our children’s, our family’s, friends’ and even sometimes strangers’. But, how many of us are genuinely happy?

I won’t be lying, when I say that every time I watch Lilly Singh’s trailer (I am too broke to buy the whole documentary movie) of her world tour’s documentary – A Trip to Unicorn Island, I have this huge adrenaline rush in me. I get emotionally involved with the each scene and every word said by her. Her life story; how she battled depression, fought for happiness and took up making videos so as to make others happy, is the thing that has been most influential on me. I would have been in some corner of the world with same old lifestyle, had I not known her. If I am writing today, it is because she motivated me (indirectly) to do what makes me happy.

“Superwoman! I am one of the million people saved by you. I thank you from the core of my heart!”

I would have been sad and depressed, questioning my life each day. But today, I wake up each morning with zeal to write and each night I go to sleep with the satisfaction that, yes, I have done something which gives me happiness. (Even though, I am still a lazy procrastinator who wouldn’t wake up early morning to get her body more functional.)

So, this is what I have to say today to you all, leave everything that makes you sad and depressed. Pick up that one thing that gives you immense happiness. Fight for that happiness, even if it means to fight the world. Don’t give up as long as you know that this journey will give you happiness that no other thing in this world would be able to give you. In the words of Superwoman, Fighting for happiness is one of the hardest things you’ll ever do in your life but happiness is the only thing worth fighting for in your life. And do not let anyone, including yourself; let you believe even for a second that you don’t deserve to be happy.”

Today’s nominee’s are:

The Quote Challenge

Today’s day 2 for the quote challenge, thank you Nelly Cherry for nominating me for The Quote Challenge.

The rules:

  1. For three consecutive days, you have to post a quote.
  2. Acknowledge the blogger who has nominated you.
  3. Each day you have to nominate three different bloggers.
  4. Let the bloggers know you have nominated them.

Day 2:

IMG_20160730_155532

This quote by Anne Frank is exactly what happens to me when I write. To be honest, this is my second account on WordPress. The first was there for a year and throughout the year the blog was empty. I didn’t publish a single post. The reasons, well, I didn’t have much inspiration and will in me to write a post. I was too much caught up with the “excuses” that I forgot the one reason to begin. When I made this account, the same happened for 15 days. On the 15th day of making this blog, few things happened that brought sudden urgency in me to write, to publish a post. I just had to.

Usually, whenever something bad happened, I used to cry alone. (Yep! this is the very reason why “rain without clouds” was written beside my name in retro section of school magazine.) But that day it was something different for me. I didn’t cry a single tear. I had this thrill, zeal and zest to start over. I simply switched on the laptop, logged in to WordPress and started writing. When I wrote, I felt so much positive vibes building in me. And the response I got was the cherry on the cake.

Till now whatever I have wrote, the posts I have published and the response I got, all of it made me so positive and happy that now, I look forward for each day. I can’t wait for tomorrow because I want to write. (Even though the grammatical mistakes keep peeping in now and then, I still choose to write… Or type?)

So, today’s lesson in Eloraquence’s class is – Do what makes you forget all the bad and builds so much energy in you that you no longer, for even a second, feel sad. The strokes on canvas, the strings of guitar, the ink and the quill, the mic and the stage; grab that one thing that makes you forget the time, makes you forget to eat or sleep. And you will realize that how much courage and talent you were born with.

Day 2’s nominees are:

The Quote Challenge

I would like to thank Nelly Cherry for nominating me for The Quote Challenge. Thank you so much. It is nice to know people from different communities.

The rules:

  1. For three consecutive days, you have to post a quote.
  2. Acknowledge the blogger who has nominated you.
  3. Each day you have to nominate three different bloggers.
  4. Let the bloggers know you have nominated them.

Day 1:

IMG_20160730_155521

We all have dreams, don’t we? An idea that we have been holding on to so long, but have not implemented yet. There are various reasons for holding back and the most common of the many reasons is FEAR – fear of failing. We all get so much engulfed by the fear that we forget, we have all the calibre, means and power to make that idea a reality.

This quote by Swami Vivekananda is a mantra of success. You know what? You will have to let that one idea, that one dream to engulf you so much that everything you do is for making this dream a reality. Think about it each day; search the ways to make it happen, live each and every day on that dream. Work so hard towards the dream, leaving no stones unturned, that the dream is no longer a dream it is a reality.

Don’t be afraid of failure. Failures are the indication that you’re going in the right direction of your life. Failures are the indication that you’re trying and you’re learning. Failures will teach you what nothing else can – it will teach you to be humble, to be strong and to never give up.

So, promise yourself today and remind yourself each day to fill yourself with the urgency to achieve your dreams. Let that dream take over each part of your soul that there’s no space for fear left.

Nominations for day 1 are:

Liebstar Award

IMG_20160730_155652

Hey, people! This is my second Liebstar Award. I was nominated by Unnati Madan, the face behind Stories From My Diary. People do check out her blog, she’s an amazing writer. Thank you so much Unnati for nominating me. It really means a lot.

The rules for the Award are as follows:

Answer to the questions that were asked to me by her.

1. Who are you ? ( In one sentence only)

A phoenix on a journey of exploring and inspiring.

2.If you could start over, what would you change?

If I could start over, I would stop my younger self from going for a haircut over and over again. (Damn you kiddo Anjali, now I need longer hair.)

3. What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

That I’m actually a nice person?

4. If given a chance to be invisible , what would you do ?

I would go around spilling people’s coke on them, eating their ice cream, stealing their chocolates, sneaking into plane and travel the world. Also, I would watch over my friends while they are in the bathroom, making weird faces and doing stupid stuff. (Yep! I am an evil brat.)

5. What is happiness for you ?

Seeing someone smile and knowing that I am the reason behind that smile.

6. Your inspiration and why so ?

The bad in the world and my experiences are the inspiration for me, reason being that they influence me to spread the good. Also, there are many people whom I’ve met, whom I’ve known and whom I’ve heard about, inspire me to embark on the journey and make it huge.

7. Your favorite song ?

My favorite song keeps changing. For now it is “Ladki beautiful kar gayi chul.”

8. If given a chance to go on a date with a celebrity , who would that be ?

Umm… I don’t see myself going on a date but, yeah, if given chance to go on adventures like trekking, river rafting, bungee jump, paragliding, sky diving, underwater diving, etc. I would like to go with my lady-love iiSuperwomanii.

9. Are you happy with your life ?

Yeah, incredibly happy, life is too short to cry on issues that won’t matter five years from now. Make mistakes, learn lessons, keep filtering your life, go on adventures, make your dreams a reality and the issues that once made you sad will be far, far away and you will be happily waving hand to them, “Thank you for being here, farewell!!!”

10. What is the biggest achievement of your life till now ?

I haven’t done much yet to name any of my deeds an “achievement.” But there are few things that I am incredibly proud of. (And they are too personal to share.)

11. Who came first , the egg or the chicken ? Explain the reason.

If you had asked this question couple of years ago, I would have come up with the most ridicules explanation for which one of them came first. But, one of my friends (a science student) gave me an explanation on this question. It is the egg that came first because it is practically impossible for a multi-cellular organism to appear out of nowhere. Mutation happened, so the chicken.

11 Random facts about me:

  1. I am a daydreamer. I daydream throughout the day. So, if you catch me someday making weird face or dancing without music, please be sure that I am daydreaming and get out of the room and do not disturb me while I save the world.
  2. If I spend 30 minutes in the bathroom, for 25 mins I think about my life and for rest 5 mins I actually take a bath.
  3. I am really fascinated by the idea of humans with wings. Just imagine, no traffic, no pollution, no noise just random human beings bumping into each other and falling in love.
  4. Being a vegetarian, I wouldn’t eat the egg directly but if it is in something else, like cakes, pastry… Dude, just give me that cake.
  5. If my life was a story of Ant and the grasshopper, I would be the grasshopper.
  6. I don’t have any habits. Because half of the time I outgrow the habits, rest of the time I catch up other habit. There was a time, I used to randomly scare people and now everyone around me is doing it, except me.
  7. I used to watch Vampire Diaries, only because my friend wanted me to. But, since he went out of town for his further studies and there’s no one who keeps nagging me with the constant self-answered questions on Vampire Diaries, I don’t watch it anymore.
  8. Speaking of vampires, I have never ever watched or read any Twilight series. And given that shiny vampire thingy, I am never going to watch or read it. Nope, I am not a typical girly girl.
  9. I had to watch Bahubali: The Beginning 7 times to finally get its story. And I still don’t get it.
  10. As a kid whenever I watched Harry Potter series, I was almost convinced with the idea that when I will turn 11, I will receive a letter from Hogwarts. (I still am)
  11.  I had a mild crush on Daniel Radcliffe but since I grew up I find Emma Watson far more appealing. I think, if I had to go on a date with a celebrity, I might go with Emma Watson. #GirlLove

Now, questions for the bloggers I am going to nominate.

  1. What does success mean to you?
  2. What makes you incredibly happy?
  3. Your favorite person in your life and why?

  9. One moment that you are extremely proud of?
  10. A song(s) that makes you strong in the situation of despair?

Thank you so much Mrudula for nominating me. I am so glad and excited to answer your questions. :-D

Firstly, the rules –

Now, time for answering the questions that were asked to me:

1.What does your blog mean to you?

Everything, ever since starting my blog, I have seen a positive change in me. I am more happy and confident about myself. Whenever I write a post I feel immense delight. And the response is the cherry on the cake. Hopefully, this blog will be my career, life and part of my everyday.

2.Tell me one thing that you love and one thing that you hate about yourself.

There was a time that I was made to feel bad about myself. So much that I started hating everything about me. I felt bad about how I am, how I carry myself, what I do. But recent events of my life taught me that first thing that you should learn in this life is – self love. I am starting to love myself. I look in the mirror, smile at myself, twirling my locks and loving myself more and more. <3

3.What is your most embarrassing moment?

Uhh.. The thing that I have learnt is no moment is embarrassing. It is just the way you look at that makes it so. Anyways, most of the “embarrassing” moments that happen will not even matter in next 5 years. Half of them will be forgotten, rest will be laughed at. So, why to think about anything as embarrassing, in fact, I say embrace the embarrassing and it won’t be half as bad as it felt at first place.

4.  One craziest thing you have done.

There’s bucket full list of craziest things that I will be doing in future. And I will make sure to share them with you all, so that, you can get inspired and walk out of your comfort zone.

5. Who is your idol and why?

There’s no one whom I idolize. But yes, there are people whom I look upon to get inspired, get back up and move on with my life confidently, energized and with strong will power. iiSuperwomanii (a famous, vibrant YouTuber), APJ Abdul Kalam (Missile Man of our country), Deepika Padukone (Bollywood actress), Megha Jija (My senior from college), My friends, My Family are the people whom I look upon to.

6. Do you have any pets?

Are fish pet? We do own couple of fish. If fish are pet then yes, I have a pet. :-P

7. What is the one thing that you want to achieve at any cost?

To be a famous, successful and rich writer, blogger, motivational speaker, to travel the world, meet iiSuperwomanii. Make my parents proud of me.

8. What makes you happy?

Making my people happy makes me happy.

9. What is your dream job?

I will announce to the world when I will have the appointment letter of my dream job in my hands.

10. Your favorite holiday destination?

Refer to my growing up and travelling in south before settling down in hometown, any place with beaches, scenic beauty, good food and great people would be my holiday destination.

11. If God asked you to wish for a super power.. What would it be?

An interesting question and being a Harry Potter fan I would ask, “Please make me a witch and get me a letter from Hogwarts(even though I am way older for an 11 years old).” :-D

11 Random Facts About Me

1> I would like to quote my very good friend for this one. And it goes as –

2> I am a Gemini, a hardcore Gemini. That’s the reason I have so many multiple personalities hidden in me.

3> I have a really bad temper problem. This is why so many people get upset with me all the time and I don’t even say sorry. I simply smile, call them names, act crazy and then laugh uncontrollably with them.

4> I was extremely shy as kid, very loud as a teenager and now I am mix of both. I almost feel as a roller coaster sometimes, I go from high to low to screaming to extremely silent in fraction of seconds.

7> Just like writing, I love reading. When it’s my birthday, I expect people to get me books, a lot of books.

8> I am not a girly girl and I am not a tomboy. I lie somewhere in between of two.

9> I love guitar and I love swimming and I know nothing about both.

10> I extremely love singing the song We Shall Overcome. It makes me so positive and happy.

11> The whole list took more time than writing any of my post. Shemur! That was so hard.
